Restaurant in Canary Wharf financial district

"The Ivy Canary Wharf" in London, England, is a stylish restaurant that belongs to the renowned Ivy Collection and is located in the heart of the bustling financial district of Canary Wharf. It is also known as "The Ivy in the Park" and is nestled amidst Canada Square Park, which gives it a special connection to nature amidst the urban environment. The restaurant spans two floors, combining modern design with a touch of elegance, inspired by the Ivy brand's over 100-year history, which began in the West End of London in 1917. The décor features high ceilings, large windows, and a blend of Art Deco elements with luxurious details such as orange leather banquettes. Notably, there are two outdoor terraces that offer views of the green park, making them ideal for relaxed meals or drinks on warm days. The building itself is considered one of the most sustainable in Canary Wharf, adding an extra modern touch to the restaurant.

Modern british cuisine with asian influences

Culinarily, "The Ivy Canary Wharf" offers a mix of modern British classics and Asian-inspired dishes made with high-quality ingredients. A highlight is the "Shepherd's Pie," served with tender lamb and a creamy potato topping, regarded as a timeless favorite. The "Crispy Duck Salad" is also popular, featuring fresh, crispy duck, crunchy vegetables, and a spicy dressing that balances lightness with intense flavor. For seafood lovers, the "Roasted Cod with Champagne Sauce" offers an elegant option where the delicate cod is perfectly complemented by the fine sauce. The kitchen places great emphasis on variety, with a broad selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes that are crafted with the same care as the meat dishes. For dessert, the "Salted Caramel Millionaire’s Dessert" tempts guests with a sinful combination of caramel and chocolate that delights many.

Cocktail bar with creative mocktails

The drink offerings are another highlight of the restaurant. The bar serves an impressive selection of cocktails, including the "Garden Martini," which captures the park's atmosphere with fresh herbs and floral notes. The wine list is extensive, featuring carefully selected wines that pair beautifully with the dishes. For those who prefer non-alcoholic options, there are creative mocktails that stand up to their alcoholic counterparts in flavor. "The Ivy Canary Wharf" is open seven days a week, covering all meals—from breakfast to brunch to dinner—making it a versatile meeting place for businesspeople, locals, and visitors alike.

Outdoor area overlooking Canada Square

The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, with service often described as friendly and attentive. The staff is trained to accommodate individual preferences, such as when arranging meals for special occasions. There is also a private dining room, the "Butterfly Room," suitable for celebrations or business meetings, which can seat up to 30 guests. While many patrons praise the quality of the food and the stylish setting, there are occasional complaints about noise during peak times or occasional wait times, particularly for the highly sought-after terrace seats.

Ordered the fish & chips and most of the batter was still raw on the inside so it was not appetising at all, I had to spend time taking out the raw batter. Sometimes the fish tasted undercooked, like it was fresh from the sea, personally I wouldn’t like my fish & chips to taste like that. Not to mention it was also VERY oily. The chips were okay, however, and the mocktail I ordered was lovely (Virgin Rossini). Overall, I feel like I was just paying for the ‘fancy dining’ experience rather than good quality food and I honestly could’ve found much nicer traditional fish & chips elsewhere. I will say that this is the first time I’ve had a bad experience at The Ivy as majority of times it’s usually been nice. This experience was very disappointing.

Great food, lovely staff. There is a cloakroom at the entrance which is nice. Lovely wine as well.

We’ve been to Ivy Canary Wharf and tried their Sunday Roast. The food was delicious, and the roast beef was juicy and tender. I was particularly impressed by the Yorkshire pudding and the cocktails—definitely try their Bloody Mary! The location is stunning, right in the heart of Canary Wharf, with a beautiful animal-themed interior. In the summer, there’s a lovely outdoor terrace perfect for alfresco dining. I highly recommend it!

Amazing food and drinks. Shepards pie rather small so probably best to order with sides

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Sunday Roast Experience! Had a great time at The Ivy Canary Wharf for Sunday roast. We ordered the beef roast and chicken roast, and both were cooked perfectly—tender, full of flavor, and served with all the classic sides. To go with it, we had a bottle of non-alcoholic Wild Idol champagne, which was really refreshing and paired nicely with the meal. For dessert, we went for the chocolate bomb, and it was absolutely amazing! The presentation was great, and the rich, melty chocolate was the perfect way to end the meal. The atmosphere was lovely, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Would definitely come back!

Walked in randomly with a friend after having a great experience at IVY Asia, so we had high expectations. The ambience was great, but the menu had limited options, which made our choices quite restricted. The food was average—not bad, but it didn’t quite live up to what we were hoping for, especially after our visit to IVY Asia. It seems like the focus here is more on quick, fast-paced meals, likely catering to the corporate crowd in the area. It’s worth a visit if you’re looking for a quick bite, but if you’re after something more refined, there are better options out there.

Went for my little brother's 17th birthday. Table of 6 and we were in like an outside extension, by the time we were seated and had ordered it was still day time and not too cold although there was a draught. I ordered olives to start and the burger with the additional cheese and bacon. I paid £4.50 for 6 olives, I knew the restaurant was pricey but that's ridiculous, Thankfully the buyer and chips that came was lovely and worth the money. My parents ordered the salted sourdough bread and it was delicious, a must try. As the evening came it started to get cold where we were sitting and I had asked 3 different waiters if they could put the outdoor heating on and they all said yes however it took 30-40 mins for this to happen and by this time we were leaving. We couldn't have candles in the cake and we weren't allowed to eat the cake in the restaurant which was fine, but don't accept a cake if we can't light it or even eat it in the restaurant, it just doesn't make sense. Overall it turned out to be a lovely evening and the food was nice too. It is pricey but depending on what you order its worth it and just of the experience its worth it at least once. They do have a cheaper deal on during the week which would work out cheaper.

First time at this restaurant and couldn’t fault it. The starter was to die for (crispy duck salad) could have had 3 courses of that and would have left happy. Fillet of beef was a good portion and very tasty and then to finish off the chocolate bomb hit the sweet spot. It was very busy but the service was excellent considering and I would not hesitate to dine here again or recommend.

The food does not make up for the poor quality of service. As other reviews mention, it takes forever to make eye contact with someone who wants to help. Went for the Valentines meal, got there at 15:30 and didn’t get our mains until 16:35 even though we had been waiting with empty starter plates for 20ish minutes. When I wanted to order more drinks, the waiter was very dismissive before I could even say anything and said ‘Your food will be ready soon’. Ordering the drinks was a waste of time to be honest because it didn’t come until we were almost done with our mains. Dessert was disappointing and stodgy. For a valentines event it was very disappointing and seemed ill prepared. Even at the hostess desk no one could find my reservation amongst 5 people. If kind of awkward because they kept saying they were ready but no one moved so when we went to walk through they flagged us back as if we were going to run through the restaurant. They also marked us as a no show which was kind of careless. I’ve worked in hospitality for 7 years so I’m very understanding of most situations, but here it’s clear training and professionalism is lacking. I would never neglect my customers like the staff I encountered. When I asked to remove the service charge the waiter even defensively asked me why, even though he didn’t ask the other table who did the same. Had been coming here for my birthdays and special events but definitely not doing that anymore. Not for some stodgy mash potatoes, undercooked egg and rock solid brownies

We had lunch on Wednesday at The Ivy Canary Wharf and requested a quiet table since one of us needed to take a video call. Service: We were seated in the semi-outdoor area to the left of the reception. The gentleman (I wish I’d caught his name) who attended our area provided impeccable service. He was efficient, professional, and keenly attuned to our requests—discreet and courteous, a perfect 10/10. Among all the Ivy branches we’ve experienced, his service stood out as top-notch. The food was generously portioned, beautifully crafted, and presented with flair. The décor and atmosphere exuded opulence, evoking an enchanting English garden, and were as stunning as any other Ivy.
